I think it's important to set your default as "no interruptions" and then be flexible to allow interruptions depending on the situation. Most of our day is on autopilot, so better to put the right one in place when we are not thinking about which interruption environment should we be in.
I am always astonished when I see some coworker with email and Slack notifications on and their eyes move toward a random automated email banner at the top-right corner of the screen.
Thank you Fran! I can still understand notifications for slack DMs (but I turn them off during pomodoros), but notifications for emails are... insane π
