The new Refactoring schedule. Mondays are for ideas, Wednesdays for essays, and Fridays for the podcast.

Now, back to the article! At the end of 2022 I wrote a newsletter edition about my work-from-home setup.

It was around Christmas time, so I thought it could help with gifts. Surprisingly, it became one of the most popular posts of the year, and I spent the following week replying to readers who asked for clarifications about various items.

The community chat for this was 🔥

So, today I will recommend and review 20+ items (up from 10 last time). These include both the ones I have been using myself (old and new), and the most popular ones from the community.

I will also organize things into categories:

  • 🪑 Desk & Health — the standing desk routine and everything around it.

  • 🎙️ Video / Audio — the setup for recording audio, video, or simply having calls.

  • 🖥️ Tech — display, docks, chargers, and more.

  • ➡️ Next up — new, promising items I am considering buying.

  • 💬 From the community — recommended pieces from Refactoring readers. From simple ones, like monitor lights, to wild ones, like the XReal glasses.

Also, I am not affiliated with any of these products and I don’t make money from doing this. It’s just genuine recommendations from myself and the community.
