Thanks for the practical advice - my writing time has been squeezed lately due to life stuff and commitments so I will certainly be willing to try this approach. The six questions are very useful. In the past I've set-up tech blogs for teams of software engineers and with encouragement and sufficient time they've found their inner writer and enjoyed the process.
It's true that few people write, I guess the precursor is to explore yourself, and really know what it is that you want to say. For me there's an insatiable creativity that doesn't get an outlet in everyday life and views that can't find expression in everyday conversations - this compels me to write.
